On November 16, 2024, the 11th annual Premio COMEL Award, an international competition in Italy that recognizes the creative use of aluminum in art, culminated.

This year, the Premio COMEL Award was awarded to the Slovak artist ROBERT HROMEC, based on the recommendation of a professional jury headed by curator Giorgio Agnisola, from among 13 finalists whose works were exhibited at the exhibition “Aluminum, below the surface (Alluminio, sotto la superficie)”. The award was presented by the President of COMEL s.r.l. and Premio COMEL, Ms. Maria Gabriella Mazzola, also in the presence of the Slovak Ambassador to Italy, Ms. Karla Wuster.

More than 350 works from all over the world were submitted to the international competition. A professional jury selected 13 finalists, whose works were exhibited at the Spazio COMEL Arte Contemporanea gallery, Latina.

The professional jury’s shortlist of 13 finalists presented many different styles, many unique creative approaches, which allowed for an insight into the emotional universe of the artists and their artistic journey.
